Brown glove made of Finnish elk leather with a long cuff

  • very soft leather, comfortable to wear, and water-repellent
  • The long lapel fits perfectly on any jacket sleeve
  • According to test report No. MP-NR 1878/06 dated February 2, 2006, issued by the Leather Institute of the Reutlingen School of Tanning, all Sauso gloves made of moose and deer leather are free of harmful substances and comply with EU directives.

The company was founded in Finland in 1929 and is now run by Sakari Sauso, the founder’s grandson. All of its gloves are handmade; machines are used only as an aid. Since the leather is very thin, elastic, and soft, it must be handled with care to ensure a good fit.

Sauso gloves are renowned for their high quality and design. www.sakarisauso.com

WHICH GLOVE IS THE RIGHT ONE?

    Different hands
Every hand is different: there are standard-shaped hands, as well as two other types of hands:
a slender hand with long fingers and a broad hand with short fingers.

Main gloves with long fingers: Choose gloves that are half a size larger than your actual size (leather gloves with more volume). This will help them retain their shape better, and the fingers won’t be too short.
Example: If your glove size is 7, choose size 7½ gloves.
    Try them on carefully.

Large hands with short fingers: Choose a pair of very supple leather gloves that are half a size smaller than your actual size. These gloves are very stretchy when worn for the first time, so the fingers will become shorter as a result.
Example: If your glove size is 9, choose very supple leather gloves in size 8½. Try them on carefully.

    The right size
Put on a glove. Gently stretch the side seam with the thumb and index finger of your free hand. The glove is the right size if the side seam is smooth and has about 2 to 4 mm of slack.

    Shipping to Switzerland and Liechtenstein

Free priority shipping on orders over SFr. 100. Orders are typically shipped the same day or the next business day (if ordered after 3 p.m.). Excludes Mondays (our day off).

    Shipping to the EU

We ship packages internationally via UPS. The total price, including shipping costs, customs duties, and VAT, will be displayed during the final step of the checkout process before you complete your purchase. All fees are already paid here in the store; nothing is due upon delivery (DDP – Delivered Duty Paid).

    returns

You can return most items for a full refund within 14 days of delivery. The prerequisite is that the items are returned in new condition (i.e., unworn, unwashed, with all tags attached, etc.). We will cover the return shipping costs if the return is due to an error on our part (you received the wrong item or a defective item, etc.).

You can expect to receive your refund within one to two weeks after the package is delivered to the post office/UPS, but in many cases, it will be faster. This timeframe includes the time it takes for us to receive your return from the carrier (1–3 business days), the time it takes for us to process your return after receipt (1 business day), and the time your bank, credit card company, Postfinance, Twint, etc., need to process our refund request (immediately up to 10 business days).

If you wish to return an item, please indicate whether you would like a refund or an exchange.

    Availability in the online store

Individual items and items on sale are also often in stock.

Red Wing and other shoes are available in the store year-round.

It's best to read a brief overview of a specific article before visiting it.
