Lightweight, comfortable, and durable, this Iron is specially designed for women. The boot is stitched, features nickel eyelets and hooks, a Vibram® 430 Mini-lug sole for even better traction, and is crafted from premium Red Wing Amber Harness leather.
THE STORY BEHIND THE STYLE
The early days of iron mining in Minnesota’s Mesabi Range are closely tied to the history of the Red Wing Shoe Company. Miners needed sturdy yet comfortable boots capable of withstanding the long days and harsh conditions of a northern Minnesota mine. Red Wing responded with a thick-leather boot featuring an oil-resistant outsole, quick-lacing hooks, and a comfortable cork midsole. However, the defining feature of these boots was their double-layered toe, designed to protect miners’ feet from injury while working with hand tools and heavy machinery. This boot is still in production today—Iron —and it represents not only Red Wing’s commitment to making boots for working men and women, but also its roots in Minnesota.

S.B. Foot Tanning Co. is known for its oil-tanned leather, which is used in many of Red Wing’s timeless styles. This leather is resistant to water, dirt, and sweat, and has a more natural appearance than many other leathers because fewer finishing materials are required. Oil-tanned leather is exceptionally durable and resilient and has been used in countless shoes throughout Red Wing’s 100-year history.

SIZING AND BREAKING IN SHOES
A new pair of Red Wing Heritage boots should fit snugly yet comfortably on your feet, with enough room for your toes to move freely. Over time, the leather upper, leather insole, and cork midsole will mold to your feet, creating a custom fit.
EQUIPMENT AND MAINTENANCE
Sturdy soles, premium leather, triple stitching, and Goodyear welt construction combine to create high-quality shoes that will last a lifetime. It takes 230 steps to handcraft a pair of Red Wing shoes, but it only takes three steps to keep them clean, well-maintained, and protected.

Free priority shipping on orders over SFr. 100. Orders are typically shipped the same day or the next business day (if ordered after 3 p.m.). Excludes Mondays (our day off).
We ship packages internationally via UPS. The total price, including shipping costs, customs duties, and VAT, will be displayed during the final step of the checkout process before you complete your purchase. All fees are already paid here in the store; nothing is due upon delivery (DDP – Delivered Duty Paid).
You can return most items for a full refund within 14 days of delivery. The prerequisite is that the items are returned in new condition (i.e., unworn, unwashed, with all tags attached, etc.). We will cover the return shipping costs if the return is due to an error on our part (you received the wrong item or a defective item, etc.).
You can expect to receive your refund within one to two weeks after the package is delivered to the post office/UPS, but in many cases, it will be faster. This timeframe includes the time it takes for us to receive your return from the carrier (1–3 business days), the time it takes for us to process your return after receipt (1 business day), and the time your bank, credit card company, Postfinance, Twint, etc., need to process our refund request (immediately up to 10 business days).
If you wish to return an item, please indicate whether you would like a refund or an exchange.
All items available for order are generally in stock and can be shipped immediately. If there are any errors, you will be notified right away.
Most, but not all, of the items featured in the online store are also in stock at the physical store. Motorcycle clothing may be put into storage during the winter due to space constraints, just as heavy sweaters, coats, and fall/winter hats may be put into storage during the summer.
Individual items and items on sale are also often in stock.
Red Wing and other shoes are available in the store year-round.

We will ship your order via Swiss Post within 2 days of receiving your order or payment. Orders are generally shipped together in a single package, not as separate shipments.
Most items are in stock and available for immediate delivery. For items that are not in stock, the average delivery time is 4 weeks. We will notify you the same day or the next business day if an item is out of stock. Please ask us about stock levels if you need the items urgently.
Orders and rates:
All orders are final. In the event of a delivery delay, you will be notified by email or phone. If the order has not yet been shipped, you may cancel it. Shipments to the EU:
Shipping costs via UPS, customs clearance fees, and VAT are included in the total price (displayed during the final step of checkout). There are no additional charges upon delivery (DDP – Delivered Duty Paid).
Shipping costs for Switzerland / the Principality of Liechtenstein:
Orders with a purchase value of SFr. 100 will be shipped free of charge.
For orders with a purchase value of less than SFr. 100, we charge SFr. 7.00 for standard shipping and SFr. 9.00 for priority shipping.

Return Policy:
If you return the purchased items within 14 days in perfect condition and in their original packaging, we will refund the full purchase price. You are responsible for the return shipping costs.
