STYLE NO. 8213: Norway Moc Copper Rough & Tough

The Norway Moc is a robust 6-inch moc toe with the original Vibram® lug sole for particularly good grip.

THE HISTORY BEHIND THE STYLE

Winter served as the inspiration for the centerpiece of this new addition to the men’s collection: the Norway Moc. Originally developed as a winter boot for customers in Norway—where Red Wing has a long-standing tradition—this boot was specifically designed to meet the demands of cold climates with durability and rugged style. Designed in Minnesota, the Norway Moc seamlessly combines seasonal versatility, timeless design, and all-day comfort. With its sturdy construction and timeless design, this boot is perfectly equipped to brave the cold.

Inspired by the legendary 1907 Moc-Toe, the Norway Moc is also built on the roomier 45 last and features a durable Norwegian leather welt, which provides additional strength and improved construction. The boots are equipped with the new Vibram TC4-Lug “Ice” outsole, which provides improved traction, comfort, and flexibility in wet, icy, and cold conditions.

Subtle design enhancements boost both comfort and functionality: a padded collar, a leather pull tab, and the brand-new “Copper Rough & Tough” leather with a water-repellent Scotch-Grain embossing give the boot a sophisticated yet rugged look. Inside, Red Wing has added a breathable Dri-brelle canvas lining to regulate heat and moisture, as well as a felt-lined, removable footbed that provides extra insulation and comfort—right out of the box, with no break-in period required.

The Norway Moc is a testament to craftsmanship, performance in cold weather, and a deep respect for winter, no matter where in the world you are.

Over time, the upper leather, the leather footbed, and the cork midsole will mold to the shape of your foot, creating a custom fit.
