The 1920 NEWSBOY is a casual cap with a fixed peak that can be easily bent into shape and a soft round head sewn from eight spittels. A button is sewn onto the top of the head for decoration. The outer fabric is pulled over the peak to the middle. The cap has a 2 cm wide band all the way around.

This cotton fabric isn't just any plain, solid-colored fabric. It's the one-of-a-kind solid-colored fabric. With a slightly peachy texture and an elegant, sporty vibe—understated yet incredibly stylish. A cap for every day, for every wardrobe. Choose from eight colors. One for every day—and a hat on Sundays!

Since 1859, TESSUTI DI SONDRIO has been skillfully crafting exceptional cotton fibers. In the heart of the Valtellina, surrounded by the unspoiled nature of the Alps. An unusual location for a textile factory that, over the past century, deliberately chose not to relocate to a textile district. Instead, in its pursuit of pure excellence, the use of local natural resources, and the application of exceptional craftsmanship in the processing of cotton yarns, the company has relied on its current location.

For more than a century, the tradition of craftsmanship, the skill in processing the fabrics, has been passed on from parents to their children. Passion and the authentic knowledge of the people who make this fabric have led us to produce caps from it.

Who isn’t familiar with those old black-and-white photographs from the turn of the century? Everyone wore some kind of headgear: newspaper boys, dockworkers and steelworkers, farmers, beggars, criminals—people from every walk of life. Only the noble gentlemen and ladies wore hats back then. The numerous styles of caps were designed for active lifestyles—mostly for work, but also for sports. The name “Schieberkappe” goes back to the old Berlin term “Schieber” for foreman. This type of cap has also been rediscovered; now free of prejudice and social status, it has won over free spirits and artists. Yet it still carries a certain symbolism. For no one can fail to recognize that a person wearing this cap exudes a sense of individuality that would be significantly diminished without it.
